ActiF by Microtool

ActiF by Microtool

ActiF is a process model developed by Microtool for software planning and software development. ActiF is supported by the ‘in-Step’ product from Microtool. It is based on an agile, iterative approach and is strongly requirements-driven. ActiF regulates the orderly handling (allocation and management) of tasks and responsibilities within a developer group.

ActiF is tailored to object-oriented development with the Unified Modelling Language (UML) in C# or Visual Basic .NET with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET. ActiF thus provides a concrete process model for this development platform. It defines all activities and results that occur in an agile project in this technical environment. Wherever possible, ActiF offers machine templates for the results.

Evaluation BQI Research

Requirement management (RM) and implementation (IMP) are fully covered, there is no support for maintenance (W) and operation (B). Testing (T) is also weak. ActiF performs better in integration (INT), project management (PM), quality management (QM) and system design (SD).
