Challenge
How can a major international bank be successfully agilised over many decades? The answer to this question is not easy to answer and the project has not yet been completed (June 2020). What we can say, however, is that this financial group has embarked on the challenging journey of agilisation and is working hard and seriously towards realising its vision of becoming a digital technology company. It was and is clear to everyone involved that this journey is not a virtual one - but a very real one - with difficulties and challenges. With initial successes and setbacks.
Solution
We were successfully involved in the transformation of 2 units with around 600 people in the agile transformation. We trained over 40 Scrum Masters and Product Owners. We carried out over 15 PI planning sessions with up to 210 people at a further four units. The last planning in May 2020 was carried out entirely remotely.
Implementation
We have learned that globalisation, digitalisation, rapid market changes and rapid technological innovations are the current challenges of our time. Large companies need to make their existing business models, organisations and structures agile in order to adapt to changing market conditions and remain competitive in the future.
The business results of scaled agility speak for themselves. If you would like to find out more about the project and the client, please do not hesitate to contact us.
