Introduction to agile working

Focus: Einführung in agiles Arbeiten

Theory and practice of agile methods

Brief description

This introduction to the world of agile working is designed as an intensive workshop that integrates impulses as well as group and individual work. An overall context is presented that begins with complexity as a driver and directly empowers the participants with concrete, simple tools. An important element in this context is developing the ability to deliver the right thing quickly and correctly from the customer's perspective. This includes in particular the triad of ‘focus, prioritisation and limiting the task load’. This seminar lays the foundation for the other seminars on offer.

Development goals

  • Basics of Scrum, Kanban and PDCA - Lean Thinking as the mother of agility
  • Living agile roles - from project manager to product owner and scrum master
  • Gaining the ability to focus, prioritise and set limits
  • Definition of Ready, Done and the Acceptance Criteria
  • Cutting initiatives, epics, user stories and tasks - and working with Jira
  • Systematically overcoming waste, obstacles and hurdles
  • Improving flow, idle and waiting times
  • The minimal viable product (is not a prototype!)
  • Agile estimation of effort (use of story points)

Unique selling point

In a rapidly changing world characterised by uncertainty and complexity, the tools of traditional project management are being used less and less. Agile is seen as the saviour and can rightly point to a number of successes. At the same time, many seminars are too theoretical, meaning that the knowledge gained cannot be transferred to everyday life. This highly interactive intensive seminar offers a practical introduction to agile working methods that can be applied immediately after the seminar.

Duration of the intensive seminar
