Certified SAFe® Lean Portfolio Manager

In this three-day course, you will learn the tools and techniques necessary to implement Lean Portfolio Management. The functions of LPM for strategy and investment, agile portfolio operations, and lean governance create a culture of innovation and flexibility in which all portfolio employees can work together effectively as a team.

Course participants will have the opportunity to capture the current and future status of the portfolio using the Portfolio Canvas Tool and identify key initiatives to achieve the next goals. With Portfolio Kanban, you create flow, prioritize initiatives, and thereby achieve the highest economic benefit. The course also provides insight into value stream budgets, lean budget guardrails, and measuring the success of lean portfolio management.

Prerequisites

No specific prior knowledge is required to participate in the course. We recommend the following experience for the SAFe Lean Portfolio Management certification exam:

  • Experience with agile concepts and principles
  • Leading SAFe or SAFe Product Owner are advantageous
  • Experience working in an agile environment

The online certification exam is in English. Participants who pass this exam will receive:

  • A SAFe Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) certificate
  • A SAFe Portfolio Management (LPM) digital badge
  • 1 year of certified membership as a Lean Portfolio Manager, which includes access to the LPM Community of Practice.
  • Access to a variety of learning resources to support you as a certified professional during your SAFe journey.
  • Exam format: Multiple choice
  • Exam access: First attempt free of charge within 30 days of course completion
  • Exam duration: Once the exam has started, candidates have 120 minutes to complete it.
  • Number of questions: 60
  • Passing the exam: 40 out of 60 points (67%)
  • Exam fee: the first attempt is free within 30 days of course completion
